We work to protect and restore our local ecosystems by managing invasive species. Invasive species are non-native plants and animals that can outcompete native species for food, water, or space. Our team, along with volunteers, identifies and removes invasive species such as bittersweet nightshade, watercress, glossy buckthorn, and other non-native plants that threaten streams, wetlands, and surrounding habitats. Through these efforts, we help maintain healthy, diverse ecosystems, improve habitat for fish, birds, and pollinators, and support the long-term resilience of our watershed.
